Our 5th graders have been having a special review week to help them prep for their FAST tests starting next week. The week consisted of bootcamp, Glow Day, Sports Day, Game Day, and ended with a House Spirit Scavenger Hunt! Who says Test Prep has to be boring? On Friday we celebrated a successful year of Win Win Buddies! These peer mentors have met with their mentee twice a week during breakfast all year long and provided them encouragement and support. “No Taxation without Representation”…that’s what our 1st graders chanted as they threw the tea overboard. Students also experienced the “other” tea party, signed the Declaration of Independence, made Betsy Ross’s flag, and made George Washington puppets. Yesterday was our 3rd Annual Father and Son Olympics! We had a packed house of Woodlawn boys and their father figures. We started our evening with Silly Sports and Goofy Games and then the Olympic Events began. Families chose from Capture the Flag, Sharks and Minnows, Gaga Ball, Dodgeball, Arcade, and Board Games. On Admin Professional’s Day and we got to spoil these amazing Woodlawn eagles. These ladies serve selflessly behind the scenes to create the Woodlawn Magic. Today we had the honor of inviting a special group of people to school to honor and celebrate them! It’s School Bus Driver Appreciation Week and we honored Woodlawn’s drivers and attendants with a brunch to thank them for their selfless service to getting our students to and from school safely. #TheWoodlawnWay #ItsSWEETtobeanEagle

Thursday was a Spring Surprise for our amazing staff to thank them for helping our students grow! They were treated to Gio Frio Italian Ice and had the opportunity to get creative with our flower bouquet bar.
